The Joint General Secretaries' briefing is finally out from the November meeting of the UNITE Executive Council (EC). As usual, I'm happy to send it on to UNITE members on request.
Our next EC meeting is this week, so the official minutes should be out soon.

Today we had our sixth strike day over Jobs, Pay and Pensions today, which went well. Reports and photos are gradually being posted on www.ourunion.org.uk/news.
Though the campaign has already achieved some gains, the threats of redundancies on 31st January and the end of pensions consultation are looming large. UNITE has today issued a call for six more strike days if the dispute is not resolved.

This week IBM staff took their campaign against the closure of their pension scheme to parliament, with a Westminster Hall debate.
