Unite has produced a useful leaflet "Getting involved in Unite branches" which sets out their function and the main jobs in the branch.
Branches are being asked to elect their branch officers in January - March 2018 to serve for three years from 1 April 2018.
The structure page on the Unite web site includes branch standards and model standing orders.
